Jimmy and the weekend crew at Kraken Coffee are legends. Jimmy meets you with a joke and a smile every day, with stamp cards and a discount for your own cup. Best place to stop on my way before work leaving Brighton.

It’s a small shed-style café, but the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s from a small shop at all — it was really good. The pies were also excellent. I think the pies come from Lyttelton, and I’d love to try them there as well.
